Many major institutions have temporary exhibitions that bring together artworks from all over the world. The borrowing institutions have a duty of care to these objects for the duration of the exhibition.

Our role is to;
- Advise on all conservation issues relating to the exhibition of the artwork.
- Inspect and agree the condition of objects with the lender on arrival.
- Regularly check and maintain that condition during the exhibition.
- Inform the lender of any changes in condition.
- Propose remedial treatments if required.
- Carry out conservation work as agreed with the lender.
- Manufacture bespoke mounts and fixings if required.
- Confirm the condition at the close of the exhibition.
- Often act as couriers during the transport of the artwork, to and from the lender.
